If foe initiates combat and unit's Def ≥ foe's Def+5, and if the number of spaces from unit's space to foe's space ≥ 4 or if it is unit's first combat initiated by foe this turn where the number of spaces from unit's space to foe's space ≤ 3, reduces damage from foe's follow-up attack to a maximum of 1 during combat.
